Adwords kept getting disapproved
-
Hi
I am trying to run a google adwords campaign for our price comparison site, and have developed a landing page with content and a table of the best prices on where to buy the product. The ad is
PS3
Compare the lowest prices
Buy TodayHowever I keep getting the message disapproved
"Landing page and site policy guidelines"
Any ideas on how to get it to be approved as google are running ads for price comparison sites such as this one for the phrase 'dvd price comparison'
http://www.kelkoo.co.uk/slp/ss-dvd-compare-price.html
And I'm not sure what I am doing wrong?

Just give them a call, here is a list of all the international numbers: http://support.google.com/adwords/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1385067

When I think of a price comparison site, I think of something where I can see model XYZ dvd player and see five stores that have that DVD player and their prices.
The link you provided looks to the user like just a list of anything that matches the keyword DVD. The first result is a Dell laptop, then a DVD recorder, then a DVD movie, two DVD writers, and a CD/DVD rack. I'm not seeing any price comparison here. If I click on an individual item, I'm taken to a specific retailer, and I assume that I'm using an affiliate tracking link. Ok, I now see that if I hover over an item there is sometimes a price comparison feature, but if I just click, I go straight to a retailer. On the link you gave, I'm seeing only 25% of the items having a price comparison option. That's hardly what I expect when I go to a price comparison site.
Have you looked at the page that they have for Landing page and site quality guidelines at http://support.google.com/adwords/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=46675? Some of the things they specify:
You need original content that can't be found on another website, and provide substantial information. "If your ad links to a page consisting mostly of ads or general search results (such as a directory or catalog page), it must also provide additional, unique content." I think reading the landing pages guidelines thoroughly could really help you here.

Hi Keri
Thanks for the reply, the link I was planning to use for the adwords campaign was
http://www.cheapfindergames.com/playstation-vita-3g-best-price
What else needs to be done so it meets the criteria, as the Kelkoo link above is exactly the same - it provides price comparison on products and affiliate tracking links
I looked at the google link - thanks for that and it seems to be classing my link as a bridge page - but its no different to the likes of Kelkoo or Pricerunner

I am not an AdWords expert. I suggest possibly going to the AdWords help forums and asking there, where you'll find a few more experts than you might here, and possibly someone from Google themselves will step in. Also, as Gary suggested, give them a call.
