so i created this simple site to test seomoz with:

it is a one-page wordpress site. i want to rank it for "permission marketing dentistry"

so now that i have it set up with seomoz what exactly should i do next? is there a procedure i need to follow? i am already working on fixing the errors.

Shouldn't be too hard especially with an exact match .com domain.

Start with on-page optimization.

Properly configure your Title tag. It should have the keywords "permission marketing dentistry" at the front. You should also avoid using the same keyword twice in one title tag.

Mention the keyword multiple times on the homepage. Don't overdue it...keyword stuffing doesn't work. Ideally you should have the keyword either bolded or italicized as well.

Include an image on the homepage with the alt tag set to "permission marketing dentistry".

Take advantage of the h tag hierarchy to better organize your site (e.g. h1, h2, h3, h4...).

Add a blog. Google loves fresh content.

Consider adding social functions to decrease indexing times.

Finish with off page optimization.

Start with high-quality and niche related directories. Use opensiteexplorer.org to look at domain trust factors and social metrics before submitting.

By now you should be ranking but if you want to optimize further you can also consider guest blogging on industry related sites.
