Moz Trust

I saw a severe drop in MozTrust for multiple sites I am working on. We have added some links this month, but would be considered 'spammy' or to be low quality. No other links appear to have been lost / removed.

If we had some very high quality links before and have added some mid-level links can this be what is causing the drop? From the description on SEOmoz, it seemed to me that trust could only go up as links were added. It appears that I am missing something.

I am very sure. This is for multiple sites with similar link profiles. Does anyone know how MozTrust could be lost without losing links? Can an IP change cause this? Are there other ways to loose trust such as having more mid-quality links added?

One thing to keep in mind is that you might not necessarily have lost one of those links but it might not have been picked up in this particular index. I had a look at your campaigns and really only 2 sites have lower Moztrust scores. These sites are also already on the lower side of the scale and it is easier to gain or lose trust on the low end of the spectrum. For example, it is far easier to go from a MozTrust of 3 to 4 than it is to go from a 8 to a 9. You could very well lose some trust if you are only building lower quality links as your averages would decline. This will also have more of an impact for your site when it has a lower MozTrust than when it has a much higher trust.
