How can i solve duplicate problem with different url needed?
-
My client is a big international firm with 10 websites with different url (.co.uk, .com, .com.au, .pl... etc). All websites are exactly the same except the price. I suggested them to only use .com and use region as a sub domain like au.xxx.com instead of xxx.com.au. However they cannot do that for some reason. I am trying to solve the duplicate issue. I dont think i can use 301 redirect or canonial link because all regions are making even traffics. Any suggestions?

If the websites are geo-targeted towards their relevant country then duplicated content isn't an issue. Country-specific domains like .pl and .co.uk will automatically target to Poland and the UK respectively, but you may want to make sure the .com is targeted towards the US, if the US is its main focus - this is so it doesn't compete with the other English versions of the site in the search engines in the UK, Australia etc. Also make sure all content is localised (ideally written/re-written by a native). There are some subtle and some big differences between British, Australian and American versions of English.
These are two links I always mention as must-views in relation to international SEO:

Alex is correct, but would add, they also look at ip number, so hosting in the actual country is a good idea, if not you can set the country in GWMT
