Same here Dean I was using BMR as part of a linking campaign for a client. It gave him a big boost to page 1 while I was working on other link building methods. Client got used to it.

      Then the Google Axe. 🙂

      We live and learn.

Not sure what you mean Jen?

Are you looking for another BPN like buildmyrank or linkvana?

Linkvana is still up and running but like others have pointed out its not a great idea to rely on BPN's anymore. Google has said they have a target on their back.

Linkvana might be under fire but it is not confirmed yet. Is there any way way to find out if they are caught up by Google.

I only see drop in ranking with more posts and articles. It could be something else. Im still thinking about it what could it be. So today I cancelled my account with them. What is the best, easy and quick way to get links then. Will appreciate your help.

We've used it and I think it is ok for short term use.  The effects of each new post tend to become diminished over time.  My guess is that Linkvana now offers little to no juice.  I think everyone in competitive markets are now being pushed into buying Adwords.

"easy and quick way to get links then"

No such thing going forward, SEO just took a twist making it a lot more labour intensive. Good SEO now is all about building relationships with people and having them talk about you.

I've experienced this effect with them too.

I think you are right.  Google is forcing everyone into buying Adwords.

The best way to get links is to develop meaningful content that others will share. But of course that's not the easiest or quickest way. I think you need to change your long-term strategy.

Remember, content is king. Develop content that deserves to be shared.

I agree with the advice to build more content - but consider mixing-up the content types. You can start with one quality article of 600-1,000 words and 2-3 related keyword phrases (plus links to your destination page); use that as a starting point by posting it on your blog or a quality article site, and pinging it.

Then, using that article as a base, you can create and post other types of content, like a video, podcast, Power Point deck, with imbedded links. Each of these content types may appeal to a different slice of your total audience, and have their own advantages in getting some rankings. You can promote these on social sites to get some buzz going.

A catchy graphic that picks up on a popular meme, and points back at your content, could certainly generate buzz/links, as suggested in this recent SEOmoz blog post:
