      Hello,

It is three weeks I have begun link building to a client website through partnerships and neither Google (link:mysite.com) nor Roger are seing any of these backlinks

Any idea what is the time commonly needed for small and new websites (no trafic at the moment) to see domain authority growing ?

Domain Authority is purely a SEOmoz term. It is based upon Linkscape's crawl of the web which is completed approximately once per month. Depending on when the links were built it may take 2 months before they are discovered.

Keep in mind Linkscape only crawls the top 25% of web pages. For the most part, if Linkscape does not see your link it likely does not have much value.

Linkscape was last updated Feb 28th so if you built a link a full 3 weeks ago, it should be visible after the next update on April 10th. If you started after 3 weeks ago, it may not be visible until May. Please take a look at the update calendar: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/345964-linkscape-update-schedule

Google will find your links much quicker. It depends on the value of the page. If you gain a link from the New York Times front page, Google will likely find the link a few minutes later. If you gain a link from a random page of a low value free directory, it may take a month.

Also keep in mind just because a link is found does not mean it has any value.

Thank you Ryan, your answer is really detailed and I am going to stop checking for my domain authority for a while, and thus keep more energy for finding other links !
