What do you use Majestic SEO for?

I have trialed it numerous times throughout the years and never really found any real benefit from the tools and data.

I know it's a platform that has a big impact in the SEO world.

For those that do use it (frequently), what benefits does it provide?

Sometimes I use it for get a knowledge about new and historic data. I had a discussion with Dixon Jones last year in meeting in Poland and he said that they have more links in their index than Google. I can say that Majestic SEO's historic index is great. Also fresh which is I believe, faster than other tools/resources.

I think they are the best in number of links category. Sometimes, especially when I have an opportunity to buy "old domain" it's very handy to have historic index to sculpt old links and redirect it to new project. That's it I think

Have you tried http://linkresearchtools.com/ ? They claim to combine 26+ link sources.

The data can be quite overwhelming, but it really is a sweet tool that can be used in many different ways (link prospecting, backlink research, site audits)
