Google showing less index pages for facebook.com ?
-
site:facebook.com 7,350,000,000 results in Google ( When I login with gmail account)
site:facebook.com 7,360,000,000 results in Google ( Without Login)
Don't you you people think its quite big difference ?
I want to know about extra 10,000,000 index pages ?

That's just a fraction of a percent difference.
Google's count of results is not that accurate. You can demonstrate this on smaller sites. Google might say "200" results but once you start digging down its only 154 for example.
The count of results is only an approximation of the actual number.

The number that you see there is not really the number of pages they know about. It can vary based on time of day, logged in state, which data center responds to your request, and numerous other factors. They also don't tell you about every page that they know about - Just the ones that they might want to show you. I wouldn't base anything on the numbers shown in search results there.

Hi Adam and Brian,
Thanks for your response.
My question is why Google shows 10,000,000 less pages when I logged in with my Gmail account.
Please check the difference between above data.

Sanket,
As mentioned, Google's count of results is not a precise number and is known to vary.

Google has said that this is just an approximation of the number of results. Think of the extra computing power that would be required to give an exact count of the number of results for each query, and think of how very few people care of the exact number of results.
Don't worry about it, and devote your time to something that will make you money.
