  • Hi Ryan, Complex scenario, but the good news is - you don't have to reinvent the wheel on this. Look at a website like https://www.rotorooter.com/ to see how they are managing the fact that they've got 600 locations in North America. If your company is expanding nation-wide, you need some type of interface (a zip code search, map, etc.) to get clients from the homepage to their correct section of the website. I see no reason to use subdomains. They typically just complicate things. You can create a landing page for each location (or a section of several landing pages if you absolutely must), but the goal is to take the client directly from the homepage to the page that tells them everything they need to know about the location nearest them. If you go this route, I would advise: Ensuring you have a sitemap that links to all of the landing pages, just to ensure full crawling Avoid duplicate content on these pages as much as possible. Make them unique and useful. This article should help: https://moz.com/blog/overcoming-your-fear-of-local-landing-pages Be sure you're building out a full set of local business listings/citations for each location and that the company has a strategy in place for managing reviews on them. That should get you off to a good start!

  • Hi Lee, Typically, the best practice is to have a website with a single set of service pages (they can mention your locations in the content) and then have a landing page for each of your physical offices. Presumably there isn't any difference between the services you sell at locations A and B, so a single set of service pages will usually cover all locations' services. It's the locations that are the difference, so they get the unique page treatment. Hope this helps!

  • Sometimes, if you have lots of links with the same anchor text pointing at a page, Google might suspect it is manipulation and stop counting those links.  They might even whack you for it. So, if you have lots of links with "acupuncture NYC" pointing at your page, that might be the problem. Lately, there are also some people who  don't have these types of links, or anything other than natural links pointing at their page, and they are seeing the same problem.

  • Here is the message I received from Google: **Beacons transmit small bits of data like a random number or unique URL roughly once per second. These signals are readable by BLE-compatible devices, like smartphones and tablets, within a limited proximity range. Apps with the appropriate Bluetooth permissions can read these signals and perform actions. ** Beacons are an interesting new technology that will generate useful customer experiences and insightful analytics for your business. There are many reasons to participate, including: Store Visit Insights - Report on consumer behavior such as how long they spent in store & where they are going next Store Visit Integration - Signals for Google provided beacons will be utilized as an additional input to store visit reports as soon as they are installed How does this actually work? BLE beacons give users better location and proximity experiences by acting as digital lighthouses. They effectively “mark-up” (or tag) the real world for mobile devices to understand and use. For this store visits pilot, BLE beacons will be used to provide more precise indoor location “tagging” in situations where GPS does not work well (e.g., within a shopping mall). The user will have location history enabled and Bluetooth on for BLE beacons to register and inherently improve our store visits model.

  • Hi Cassio I would use the .com for the US but you must remember to add an hreflang tag to both sites pointing to each other. This avoids Google thinking that they present duplicate content. Language-Location Read all about it here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/hreflang-tag and here: [https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/189077?hl=en](https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/189077?hl=en) Done correctly you won't have any problems. If you then went to other countries you could use subdirectories of the .com so say example.com/es for Spain. I hope that helps Regards Nigel

  • Hello Daniel, What Casey is correct. Also, keep in mind 2 things: If your site has a ccTLD, there is no need to do nothing. Not having a ccTLD, you can set the preferred country+Language in Search Console. Here some really useful resources about that: Multi-regional and multilingual sites - Google Search Console International checklist - Moz Blog Using the correct hreglang tag - Moz Blog Guide to international website expansion - Moz Blog Tool for checking hreflang anotations - Moz Blog Hope it helps. Best luck. GR

  • Hi there! I would recommend you follow these steps: 1. Perform On-Page SEO There are many SEO tactics you can perform on each of your website pages to increase their rank in search engines and get more visitors. This includes producing high-quality content that your audience is searching for, and writing concise meta descriptions for your pages. The meta description appears below your URL in search results. Knowing what a page is about and what will result in a click makes users much more likely to do so. 2. Get Listed Another way to increase traffic to your website is to get listed in online directories and review sites. For most of these sites, your profile will have a link to your website, so actively updating these listings and getting positive reviews is likely to result in more website traffic. 3. Post to Social Media with Hashtags Use social media to promote blog posts and other useful content on your website. This way you can get your social media followers to your site, as well as users in your followers’ networks who share your content. 4. Use Landing Pages Create landing pages specific to your offers, such as for redeeming discount codes, downloading a free guide, or starting a free trial. Landing pages are another source of traffic to your website. Plus, they contain the details users need in order to move forward and convert. 5. Target Long-Tail Keywords While short-tail keywords are often searched more frequently, it is more difficult to rank for them on search engines. Targeting long-tail keywords, on the other hand, gives you a better chance of ranking higher (even on the first page) for queries specific to your products and services—and higher ranking means more traffic. Plus, as search engines and voice-to-text capabilities advance, people are using more specific phrases to search online. 6. Start Email Marketing Sending out regular newsletters and promoting offers through email is a great way to stay in touch with your customers and can also help to get traffic to your website. Provide useful information and links to pages on your website where they can learn more, such as through blog posts and offer landing pages. Just make sure that you don`t continually bombard your readers with emails or your customers will either disengage with, delete, or unsubscribe from your emails. 7. Advertise Online Online advertising is perhaps the most basic way to get more people to visit your site. Social media, paid search, and display advertising are all excellent channels for PPC advertising to boost website traffic. 8. Guest Blog Having a micro-influencer publish a blog post on your site can help to increase your web traffic, as they are likely to share the post with their large audience. It can also help to add more variety to your content and show your visitors that you are active in your field. Alternatively, you could ask the influencer to mention your business in their own review or round-up post, or you could turn an interview with the influencer into a blog post that is likely to get traffic. 9. Engage Online Be active in online groups and on websites that are relevant to your business and community. Comment on blogs and social media posts, answer questions people are posting, and participate in conversations about your industry. The more you engage with your community, the more exposure and profile visits you get. If your social media profiles contain a link to your website, then you’ve turned your engagement into another channel for website traffic. Just be sure to engage moderately and in a sincere way, and avoid including links to your website in your comments 10. Learn from Your Analytics Use tracked links for your marketing campaigns and regularly check your website analytics. This will enable you to identify which strategies and types of content work, which ones need improvement, and which ones you should not waste your time on. I hope I've helped
