Linking Websites/ Plagiarized Content Ranking Above Original Content
I would wait a little longer before getting really worried. Sometimes redirects can take time. Meanwhile, I would make a decision about complaining directly to the infringer or filing a DMCA complaint. If you are not familiar with DMCA, fair use and copyright, there can be some risk in doing these. I consulted an attorney about these types of problems when I first started having them. Now, I usually act on my own to file DMCA and consult him when there are questions. If the infringement is on a strong and wild competitor and I fear retaliation, the attorney might contact them for me. If the infringement is on a respectable website of importance, I contact them myself and tell them the problem. They usually respond. If it is simply a spammer grabbing my stuff, I go straight to DMCA. If you file DMCA and Google approves, things will happen quickly. Within a few days your request will be reviewed and BAM, the infringer will be gone and your site will usually be back.

Does Google and Other Search Engine crawl meta tags if we call it using react .js ?
Hi Robin, There's no indication Google is having any trouble picking up the separate URLs and their associated Titles and Descriptions properly - a site: search for your domain returns all pages I'm able to find manually, and each page has a unique and accurate Title and Description snippet. ReactJS is one of the most commonly used JS platforms, with a lot of momentum in the development community especially on high-traffic sites, and Google has innovated their crawl tech to include JS-support (they crawl with a headless version of Google Chrome) to adapt to this platform. "View Source" is no longer valid for interpreting page code as Google will render it - they crawl with JS support, so JS interactions and modifications of source code are visible to Google. Using "Inspect Element" in Chrome shows a more accurate representation of what Google can crawl/render. In short: I see no negatives for SEO here, and I expect at this point your analytics and Search Console data will show that your pages are indexed and eligible for traffic (potentially already getting traffic) from Google. Best, Mike

Inbound Linking
Yes, there is a corporate site which links to all the sites. We essentially want to do the same on the individual websites.

Do we get de-indexed for changing some content and tags frequently? What is the scope in 2017?
Google's goal is to have the most relevant information possible, so improving and updating your content won't get you deindexed—quite the opposite. When you say you dropped in rankings when you added new content, what do you mean? The pages you changed dropped down? Or dropped out of Google's index? It is hard to say why that would have happened without seeing what changed but if you are sure that your changes made the pages better for what they were ranking for, it is likely that they will come back. In the meantime, be sure you didn't change something you didn't intend to change like the index/noindex status of the page. (It seems obvious, but sometimes these things can just slip through!)

How much value does these have on SEO?
Hi Bob, Gaston has linked to a good resource regarding migrating to HTTPS, which has been made into a "moment of truth" for businesses who don't follow Google's lead on this in 2017. For more on this, I recommend: http://streetfightmag.com/2017/10/02/the-impending-httpstrophe/ Regarding your other questions, if your business is digital/virtual, you don't necessarily need an address, but it's a trust signal to have one, and you should at least have a phone number if you want customers to feel you're a real company. If your business is local, a physical address (even if it's your home address) and dedicated phone number are prerequisites. Without them, you don't really have a local business, and won't be able to fully market your company as one. Hope this helps!

Our webpage has been embedded in others website using iframe. Does this hurts us in rankings?
It is possible for Google to index content within an iframe. There are some solutions to stop it indexing the content, if possible I would get your partner to add a canonical to your page to stop the content competing. However, this really depends on what the purpose of the page is and what you are able to do technically. This is a really good case study explaining the different ways to index iframes by search laboratory. https://www.searchlaboratory.com/2017/09/iframes-and-seo/

Seeking Site Feedback
On the contrary, I am an SEO professional with many hats. I do appreciate your brutal honesty - I get why you are. However, I have been in the SEO/Digital Marketing industry for the previous 5-6 years now. There was a period where I stepped away for awhile due to life circumstances....but now that I am back....I noticed there has been a torrential amount of changes hence my question about current link building practices. I do have developer/coding experience and have built a few sites myself, however, I'm hoping to avoid build-from-scratch scenarios from here on out. I've decided to fly solo as I am confident in doing so. The request for site feedback is positive for "outside observers looking in" to find any errors I may have missed. I specifically requested site feedback because this is my first round through Divi and wished to make sure all is working well. I promise you also it is most definitely not a scam but again I understand where you are coming from. Yes, I am starting small while solo and working my way up, eventually hiring freelancers to take on work I am unable to handle at that time. Seems you yourself have experienced scammers and "illegitimate rogue SEO's" which is sad and terrifying for legitimate individuals making a name for themselves. But hey, we all have to start somewhere with what we got. I'm letting my few years of experience and successes guide me while exploring new avenues.

A semi client of mine reached out to me recently that another site scraped his whole site and traffic dropped significantly.
In addition to Russ's excellent advice, you can quickly and easily submit a DMCA takedown request to Google yourself - no need to pay for it. Follow the instructions for filling out the form very carefully https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/legal-removal-request?complaint_type=dmca&visit_id=1-636440705749643193-3331676266&hl=en&rd=1 Note this is to get the site removed from Google's index. To get it actually removed from the server, you'll need to serve the takedown notice to the host and the site owner - but folks who engage in this kind of fsckery usually do a good job of insulating themselves from such action. Get the site out of Google's index, then focus your energy on improving your own site. Good luck. Paul

Meta Description Length is Doubling (Like Twitter)
Honestly not sure on why it's changing. The short answer is that I think these are more real-time than we usually realize (and only notice when we're staring at one), but a bit odd that it's going from regular to long for the same query. Usually, changes I see are query-dependent. Could indicate that Google is evaluating the content on the page or the intent of the query, but it's hard to say.

Question regarding subdomains and duplicate content
Hi there I just want to make sure I'm interpreting the question right so do let me know if any of the below is false; You're launching a website subdomain to target a different industry niche You cannot target this niche with your main site Your subdomain will be duplicating the content on your main site and you are concerned about the drawbacks of that duplicate content. One of my questions would be - if you can't target this niche on the main site, why is the strategy to copy main site content over? It seems as though if duplicate content will successfully target this niche on a subdomain, surely it can do the same on the main domain? If it is the case that there needs to be differentiation then it'd be a good idea to consider how to create content specifically targeting that niche. Search engines are doing everything they can to make it so that their definition of a good site aligns with users' definition of a good site, it's worth considering why it's so difficult to figure out how to get these pages ranking - is it because we're trying to create something that actually isn't targeted to users in a way that'll be successful even if it does rank? You're right, if you canonicalise the new pages to the old pages they are duplicating, then by design the new ones are unlikely to rank. If you don't canonicalise them, you aren't giving either the old pages or the new pages a fair shot because they aren't offering anything new for the search terms they do target, and you're ignoring the opportunity to cover off new and more specific search terms you couldn't before. Without knowing the exact details of the situation I would say; don't duplicate main site content onto this subdomain, start from scratch, find out what people in this niche want, what they are searching, what matters to them, design the subdomain to fit that need and only consider the main site in terms of avoiding competing with it. Re: the issue of whether to go subdomain at all, there is evidence that subdomains don't share as much authority with the site overall as subdirectories do, it depends on how different this new niche is from your main offering. Does it make sense for a user to find this whole other niche in a subdirectory of your main site, or is the niche dissimilar enough that you should differentiate it with a subdomain? I hope that helps, I think I've probably given more questions than answers but I think they are important questions for your business to consider. If I've misunderstood or if there's anything you'd like to discuss, do message back.
