CDN and the Google ranking?
CDN is used to improve page load speed. Since this is a minor (but still considered) part of SEO and SERPs, the only time you would really see a change in serps from implementing a CDN is if you had a REALLY bad load speed which was drastically improved. However, good on you for improving visitor experience

Website Internal Search
Hi, I only use the CSE (Custom Search Engine) and have used the Maps API (free version) for a DB reference for a search. But it sounds like you would need the premium API access since you are actually needing to display locations as places does, which on cost or use I am not sure. But below is the google page where you can begin your research. http://maps.google.com/help/maps/getmaps/compare.html Hope this helps

.im domain ranking globally?
Hi, Thanks for the reply and sorry for mine being as late as it is. I understand what you are saying about .im ranking which is why I was nervous about using a .im domain. I have seen .me rank before and was mainly wondering if .im would be on par with .me. Thanks

Have I over-optimized (on-site optimization using SEOMoz tool)?
Spot on, native French speaker, learnt English as a second language. Frugal traveling was referring to the NY Times blog "the frugal traveler", but I get your points, have corrected all issues mentioned, and will have the copy reviewed. Will also see if I can create "profiles" / "use case scenario" with profiles. Thanks!

Interlinking 60 ccTLD country versions of website
Hi Daniel This is first time I'm thinking a SEO situation like this. Thanks for the question My Suggestion What about creating a common page for all version on the core website. For example consider www.example.com as your core website. Create a page called www.example.com/all-version , some thing like wikipedia main page ( http://www.wikipedia.org ) From each ccTLD Change Language option will take the user to the above all version page Just a suggestion, consider others feedback too

Using Javascript to alter ONE or TWO keywords in International Site
BT buckets is great for showing different content to visitors from different locations. As far as google's take it is all about the default, so I would try and go for the most profitable of the two as the default(i.e. if spain had more search volume for "movil" than south america's term).

SEO for .com vs. .com.au websites
Thanks Corey, That's very helpful and seems to make sense. I'd assume too that each site would have separate GA tracking codes and Webmaster Tools profiles. Then, having them on separate serves and countries with localized content is another key factor.

International Landing Page Strategy
I don't have a perfect answer to this yet but since you don't have any, I'll take a stab at it. Basically, I have my site setup on .com and .com.au - I have used the hreflang tag to identify a specific domain to be shown to Australian users. This means on Google.com searchers see .com and on Google.com.au they see .com.au but the content is essentially the same. So far, the difference is that my sitelinks have not (yet) been indexed in Google.com.au even though they have in .com So it's not a perfect translation but the hreflang tag is new. What we have also done is simply direct the site over. http://highonseo.com.au/blog/ http://highonseo.com/blog/ You should also check out one of our best Australian SEO blogs on the topic.

Poor Google.co.uk ranking for a UK based .net, but great Google.com
"the US rankings are still very strong, so for any Penguin penalisation wouldnt it be applied equally across all indexes?" I'm not sure - I think the updates are usually language based as Google phrases it along the lines of "1% of English language queries will be affected" - but tapshop321 is UK-based so who knows... "With the explosion of the band, again if this was a a major factor, wouldnt we have dropped equally on Google.com ?" It's just a hunch but I'd say no, perhaps based on the above, quality of links from either country and potentially hundreds of other factors. If I was you I'd write occasional guest articles, with a link back to onedirection.net, for other related UK websites - fansites or official sites of similar bands perhaps. I wouldn't bother too much with getting exact match anchor text - if you use your URL you have the match anyway and you don't want your link profile to be too heavily waited towards one phrase, just in case (even though you should naturally get 'one direction' matches). Mix it up a bit if you go ahead, with URL links and phrases like 'one direction fansite'. Even just a mention of One Direction in these articles could help. Have you interviewed One Direction or similar UK bands? If you could, they're likely to link to the interview on your site. If you haven't already, perhaps setting up Google+ Authorship would help too.

Looking for content writers for multi-language SEO
Hi Daniel, Thanks for the reply. I've contacted LinguaLinx and received a response to say that they'll be in touch as they're on holiday at the moment. We'll see what the price comes back with. I've also posted out a job offer for people who can speak multiple languages to do content writing. I'll have to weigh up which seems more cost effective but Ideally I want native speakers to work with. If anyone else has any suggestions on companies who can help me achieve this, that would be great! Thanks, Lewis

Why don't our English versions show up first?
I have look into few sites. For example: I have just apple.com, which is doing good in all country Like from UK you will get apple.com/uk/ page and from India you will get apple.com/in/. I am not sure, but I think its happening because by default site is redirecting to https://zh.greatfire.org/ means when I open greatfire.org I redirected to https://zh.greatfire.org/ . I am not sure regarding it....
