Subdirectories and Domain Authority
Hi, If you use the hreflang tag correctly to tell search engines that your "/es" sub directory is another language, your domain shouldn't loose any authority. Resources: https://moz.com/learn/seo/hreflang-tag https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/189077?hl=en

Does an Apostrophe affect searches?
Hi there! Search engines have gotten smarter in the past few years and should be able to determine that the keyword (with AND without an apostrophe) means the same thing. I wouldn't worry about the keywords you're tracking and the keywords you're using within your content if the only difference is the apostrophe usage.

How long does it take to rank easy keywords?
Hi there! Unfortunately there's no definitive answer to this question. Choosing a keyword that should be "easy" to rank for doesn't always mean that you will rank for it. There are a few problem with that thought process. 1) There are probably other people doing the same research trying to rank for the same "easy" keyword as you. While that is still a less competitive term, you are still competing with the other websites that are optimized for this keyword. 2) You can't just add a keyword to a website and expect to rank for it. Are you trying to rank your homepage? Or a new blog/article? It would likely be easier to get a homepage to rank for an "easy" keyword than a new blog post because your homepage is likely to have a higher page authority. What is your website's domain authority? Is it comparable to the other websites that are already ranking for this term? There are a variety of factors that go into rankings, and even if you are focusing on one specific term, you should also spend time improving the rest of your website as well to ensure you have the best possible chance of ranking in the SERPs. Hope this helps!

Is repurposing an old sub domain better than creating a new sub domain?
Hi, Great question. Normally it is best to use an old sub domain. Said that, it will depend if it has good inbound links highly thematically related with the new products/content. I think it is not accurate that the url should contain an exact match to the products. It is best if it contains a comprehensive keyword as "a full picture" for products related to "art" in this case. When I face these facts I question myself, when a visitor will arrive, will he find the product/knowledge as I said in the page title and the meta description?. If so, I keep the sub domain and the pages of interest, as well.

Trust flow is greater than citation flow, how do we analyse those domains
Hi Elizabeth TF, CF, PA, DA represent "power" of domain but that's not all. You have to check: anchors - what % of anchors are website theme/subject related; are there any porn/viagra/etc anchors? linking domains - what % of domains are website theme/subject related; how many linking domains are banned or penalized; number of linking domains over time (rising, stable, dropping, jumping etc) link profile - is clean or have too many money keywords content - if content is good enough, not so spammy with many outgoing links; if website doesn't have any content (domain dropped?) then check in archive.org how it looked site (site:domain.com in google) - is indexed? BTW: TF55 and CF45 isn't that bad. The problem is if CF/TF > 1.8 because that tells us domain has many low quality links. Best if CF/TF=1.

Google Deindexing Site, but Reindexing 301 Redirected Version
I know that you may not want to post this, but the URL of the site would help. Generally speaking, Google will sometimes decide to use all kinds of alternative information about your site if Google deems that this is "better for the user". As you may know, Google will show different title tags and descriptions in the SERPs, if it feels that is more appropriate. That said, this is pretty major with Google changing the domain name. As it looks like your .co.uk is being chosen vs the .com it seems like Google feels like the .co.uk is the better "local" version for this audience. Is your audience in the UK? Did you change anything in Search Console to indicate that the .co.uk site is the preferred site for a UK audience? You need to look at any and all signals that you are giving to Google and see if any of them contradict what your 301s are showing. Here is what I would look at Manually go through the 301s. Use a tool via your browser or a website that will show you what is happening in the 301. The 301s might actually be 302s (and that would explain a lot). Use the site: command in Google. See what is indexed and what is not. Check the serps for the KWs that are ranking. Click through them and see if you notice anything strange Run a spider on all the .com and .co.uk URLs. Is there some sort of strange canonical setup that you do not know about? Did you do something funky with the href langs? Are the redirects 302 or maybe taking 2 and 3 strange hops? Check google search console. You should have accounts for both domains, even though you only have 1 site active. If not, get an account setup for each domain. What is Google showing you? Do you have any strange stuff in xml sitemaps? What about robots.txt? Double check with your devs that "nothing" has been done recently. You might be surprised. Good luck!

Duplicate Landing Pages showing up in search results
Hi Zack, I'm not sure if it is caused by the sitemap.xml, but the old URL is still in the sitemap.xml. You always should try to avoid having redirected URL's and error pages in the sitemap.xml. You can try to remove the URL from the sitemap and resubmit the sitemap in Google Search Console. André

Googlebots and cache
Google won't see the local version (I assume your site is UK based) - Googlebot is visiting with an IP from California & will see the "international" version of your site. They indicate that they have bots visiting the site from other IP addresses (local aware crawling) - but to be honest, if I check the server logs of our sites (based in FR & ES) I only find visits from US IP's. If the international version has only minor differences to the local version it shouldn't be a major problem - if they are major differences it's probably better to find another solution. This could be creating a different version of your site (which could be overkill), or presenting international visitors the choice on first visit (local version/international version). You store the choice in a cookie & personalise the content on the pages based on the cookie value. This way, Google would see the "local" version of the site. Hope this helps, Dirk

Google ignoring the Title Tag?
I've seen the same happening when a title (tag) is too short, as Martijn says, Google provides the user with a more relevant title, in case the original title isn't. In my case the H2 on the page was used as it was probably more relevant than the title tag or H1.

How to deal with duplicate pages on Shopify
This question been asked previosuly and here you can access it. In relation to deal with the issue, I agree with Bernadette, the best way to deal with those is to implement the canonical tags. Just make sure to use the following guidelines from the given URL. http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2011/09/pagination-with-relnext-and-relprev.html
