Is there a reason to set a crawl-delay in the robots.txt?
Google does not support the crawl delay command directly, but you can lower your crawl priority inside Google Webmaster Central. So you are right using it the way you are. If you have it in the robots.txt, it does not really do anything and it will show in the webmaster console as well that GWT does not support it.

Can I format my H1 to be smaller than H2's and H3's on the same page?
H1 tags should be the largest text on the page. Search engines want these to be the actual header on the page. If you want the biggest item on the page to be "Respect the Bean" but it is not any of your keywords, how about making it into an image? I would also second Aran's remark that your current H1 seems like keyword stuffing.

How can I redirect old URLs to new ones?
Don't forget to escape your hyphens (all of them!) with backslashes: ^pvc-cosmetic-bag-1.html You will need to escape them before white too: ---white

Does Server Location have anything to do with Search Results
Hi all... actually it is not the physical presence of a site in a targeted country that matters, but its IP, that is why you can choose if having the site hosted in the targeted country or buying an IP corresponding to that country, and operates via proxy caching. Said that, and also due to the evolution of the Cloud, Google is not considering it a main factor, as it says here: Server location (through the IP address of the server). The server location is often physically near your users and can be a signal about your site’s intended audience. Some websites use distributed content delivery networks (CDNs) or are hosted in a country with better webserver infrastructure, so it is not a definitive signal. (from this post)

Can you 404 any forms of URL?
I believe this file is the base template for all the others. So if you put it on the main one, it should be on the others. That is why I suggested to add it and then view the code of the others to verify it is there as well.

Changing Domain Registrars have an affect on rankings?
I have changed Domain Registrars on a couple of domains that were ranking for not too competitive keywords with no change in rankings. I can't imagine it would affect any rankings IMO. Having a private registrations is nice to avoid spam and hundreds of call from people calling you as if they knew you trying to sell you their services. As far as it affecting your rankings i doubt it does.

Webmaster Tool Errors
THINK MY CONNECTION TIMED OUT AND WAS POSTED TWICE OOPS This is my original message: Do you mean crawl errors in Google Webmaster Tools? The most serious of these issues is the not found 404 errors - If you have a lot of these how you need to look at it is that some of your content is not accessible to Googlebot and as such you are going to affect rankings - if Google can't find your content it can't index it. Also if you have a lot of pages that are not found in Google Webmaster tools this will lead to poor user experience, frustration and a higher bounce rate for your site, which in turn will impact on your websites rankings. You need to remember Googlebot will only have a certain amount of time to crawl and index your site, if lots of this time is spent crawling and reporting errors less of your pages will be indexed and therefore you will have less pages ranking for terms in Google, once again impacting your rankings. Also if you have lots of pages that have 404 not found errors then you are potentially losing link juice if any links are pointing to these pages and they haven't been 301 redirected to tell Google of the new permanent location of the webpage. Timed out errors also indicate that the pages listed have taken too long for Google to load, so it has given up. Once again check pages listed here and see if you can optimize them. Since Panda has come in site speed has become a factor in ranking. Unreachable errors are those that are a result of internal server and DNS problems. Obviously these are serious as Google is having problems accessing parts of your site and once again if you don't intend to deny Google access to these pages then these errors are limiting Google from indexing these pages listed. Good crawlability is an essential factor in user experience and search engine rankings, so take advantage of this excellent tool to make yours better if possible.

Rel=nofollow for affiliate links?
Thanks for the idea of using a PHP redirect script instead of the affiliate URL, I like that one! Cheers

Noindex, nofollow on a blog since 2009
Thanks Dan. One thing I found interesting is that Google Webmaster Tools doesn't offer any alerts about pages that aren't indexed because of meta tags, only about those included in the robots.txt file.

Slapped by the Penguin
local niche, so yes the anchor text was probably very similar. What's really weird is that I just noticed on one of my sites that I had accidentally left some REALLY old pages up for a couple of cities. These are actually ranking now front page. The others are back on page 2 or 3 and this one is now top 5. I think I'm just going to see what next week holds. Google seems to have lost a screw this week. I've had enough! Signing off for the week...
