  • Thanks Chad, good to see a good health tracking parameter on the back of your url

  • There was a time when we had domain names, but there was no world wide web (am I old?).  It only made sense when we added the world wide web that we gave a sub-domain (www) to our world wide web server, after all that was what we did with our gopher server.  But everyone that says, choose your favorite, is correct.  It will make no difference. Note: I had email before I had a mouse.

  • I think best practice is to make them "noindex, follow".   You'll still get the warnings in Moz.  They're ok to ignore if you have have noindexed.

  • It is kind of hard to figure out with minimal context. Here are my two guesses: Could this be talking about an indented listing, where you have a second result indented under the first listing? Less likely, but could this be discussing some type of reciprocal linking in a directory? If you want more specific advice without disclosing things in public Q&A, you can ask one question a month in private Q&A where only SEOmoz staff and associates can view your question.

  • Google officially said the site speed is a SEO factor which, when implemented, will affect 1% of SERP results. This gives some idea of the scope of it's relevancy. (not saying 1% is either high or low, this is all very subjective) Having said that, beyond speed improvement, CDN provides other SEO related benefits. I've actually just published a 2-part Blog post that investigates SEO & CDN related myths and talks about CDN and SEO benefits, I hope you`ll find it useful. it should answer all questions: Part 1: SEO & CDN Myths Part 2: SEO & CDN benefits

  • This is not my strong suit however. I do know Google is coming down hard on people pinging their links all at once. I would use a proxy if I were doing it. If I were you I would release the links over a course of the next 2 to 3 weeks. If Google sees a spike think that's not natural. Here's some info below to I hope I was of some help to you. Sincerely, Thomas Zickell "I think about 6 months to 1 year+ ago, mass pinging tons of backlinks doesn't work anymore... anyone notice if you bulk ping thousands of backlinks all point to your website to mass ping servers doesn't work any more? It seems like Google has implement a filter to strip away ping spam, and if you find that pinging with a lot of backlinks in the shortest time doesn't work, how about spreading them 100 sites per ping to fewer ping servers, would that work? Yes, it does, and my recommendation is - ping to less than 10 ping servers at a time, and ping only 100 backlinks or less (that link to the same money site) at a time work much better! Anyone had similar experience?"

  • Don't feel bad- we do the same thing and I'm convicted it's not accurate. I can find a link between our PPC and the longptail even though it's reporting under organic. It seems like the real time is very glitchy as well.

  • Alan, On that note, do you recommend demoting the sitelinks via webmaster to get Google to replace it with the better optimized and relevant pages? or just let time do its thing Thanks

  • I think you would also need to setup your G+ account to show you contribute to that blog.  I remember from setting this up a while ago that it is a two way thing (to prevent content being attributed to an author without their permission).  You will need to add the blogs URL to your G+ account as well for authorship to work.

  • What kind of pages are they? Is it something you can code your CMS/Cart/etc to auto populate with relevant content? The seomoz bot will automatically take notice of any changes on its next crawl.
