Google webmaster… Zopim Live chat blocking the resources
Hello Madhukar! It's likely that Zopim has blocked some resources (javascript, css, etc.) from crawlers on their URLs (not yours). What you'll want to do to get more granular detail though is do a fetch and render of a specific page with the error then scroll to the bottom of that page where it will list the blocked resources. This discussion on Google's Product Forums outlines the process that a user with a similar issue used to get visibility into it: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/webmasters/vwQnFkGCNaE The main point form that discussion in relation to your question being, "[when checking] the zopim.com urls, more specifically the us30, they have their own robots.txt file blocking all from the crawlers. I would assume the remaining zopim.com urls all block crawlers as well." That is most likely what is generating the errors that you see. Cheers!

Thousands of links coming from an iframe
There are likely enough signals to consider the link similar to an internal link which has similar numbers, meaning: even though they're technically on separate domains, your ownership and relationship of both domains make links between the two more like internal than external links. So doing nothing is definitely an option, but doing something that enhances user experience should be the guiding force if you do change. Cheers!

Finding a specific link - Duplicating my own content
Hi Patrick, No, turns out I had been thorough and changed all the link in the sitemaps and on every page previously pointing to it. Having screaming froged it and follows the path through the rewrites etc it turns out What was causing the problem was the inbuilt layered navigation in Magento. Each CMS created page produces a navigational path to the current page just above the content in this case Home > Page1 > Sub Page etc each of these is a link to the hierarchy so the user can easily navigate. The page in question (and only this page) seems to have a special rule set up for it (must have been back in development) where the navigation becomes Home > Page1 > Page1 > Subpage where the first 'Page1' is linked to via website.co.uk/Page1 instead of website.co.uk/page1/ like the rest of the website. I have found a temporary way around it for now, having located the link until i can address the source code causing the issue

Using / at the end of anchor text link
Hi Tanveer, First of all website shouldn't open on with & without trailing slash(/). If you want to keep trailing slash URL for your website redirect without trailing slash url to URL with / or if you want to keep without / , you have to redirect http://abc.com/ to http://abc.com You can get link on whichever version you are keeping for your website. Hope this helps. Thanks

Does Google give any weight to css class or id names?
Class names are part of CSS code, therefore crawlers read the class names. While 'class names' are not considered in ranking factors specifically, there are other factors that are impacted by them. In addition to issues related to robots.txt files disallowing a crawl of the assets and directly harming how well Google algorithms render/index content, resulting in suboptimal rankings." [c] Here are a few more items to consider: External resources like CSS & JavaScript help algorithms understand that the pages are optimized for mobile. And this is a factor in ranking. [b] Some JavaScript removes content from the page rather than adding, which prevents Google from indexing the content. This is also a factor in ranking [b] Speed is a factor and google publishes a CSS/HTML style guide and best practices for faster loading pages, to optimize the serving of CSS / number of calls. Squarespace or Wordpress for a Photographer
Wordpress tries really hard to be a CMS but it's really not much more than a blog with some page management thrown in. The only advantage WP has here is that it's free. If you're a professional photographer then you need a photographer website. Don't try to cut corners. if you were a woodworker I would tell you to buy a circular saw over a hand saw. Get the professional website that is built to showcase your talent.

Questions on switching domain name of my site
Thank you John, Marcus: The situation is exactly what MArcus described. Seems like the process is going to be rather straightforward. To answer this, "is this a brand change or just a URL change?" -- it's just a URL change for a news site and there is no official label or brand behind it. I am familiar with the tools your mentioned, so I should be able to handle it. If anything comes up, I will update this thread.

How do I direct users to site page when they search vanity URL?
What I have done in a similar situation is to make the vanity URL the preferred URL. I created the vanity URL as an alias of the landing page URL and used a canonical to indicate that the vanity URL is the one to index.

Having Problems to Index all URLs on Sitemap
Like already answered above it's quite hard to get to the 100% indexation rate for your webpages. What's your current indexation rate? If it's below 90% you might still have some issues somewhere.

Bingbot appears to be crawling a large site extremely frequently?
Thanks Lesley. Yes, I agree. I think the only way we are going to get a definitive answer is to look at the logs. We are working on getting access.

Migrating to new subdomain with new site and new content.
Patrick is right, the migration guide is an excellent source to make sure you've covered all the bases. That said, setting up 301 redirects is gonna have to happen. It may hurt, it may take a lot of time, but it's the best way I've found to minimize any negative impacts to rankings and traffic. There are, of course, ways to speed this up, but I wouldn't suggest looking for a work-around. It sucks to do but that's why new sites and new content on new domains can be such a nightmare. It's mind-numbing as a task but your manager/client will be very impressed by it. Make sure to look over the inbound links to your site to ensure no pages are missed thereby breaking some of your link network.

In Facebook when i place my site URL the image does not load?
As others have said, there are a few ways to tackle this but all involve improving your schema so it adheres to the Facebook Open Graph standard (http://ogp.me/). If your site is a Wordpress site (or other CMS), there are some simple ways to set this up. Then, when you place a link to your site in the Facebook post, the correct image and information is pulled in automatically. This can have a great impact on your professional appearance so it's recommended that you do take care of it. That said, let us know what kind of site you are working with and maybe we can offer some more specific directions.
