On my latest report we have dropped one point on Domain authority. I also note that our 3 competitor rankings have dropped as well. Has something changed to make this occur.
Thanks Tom, makes sense to me. Thats a lot of crawling.

Any alternatives to BuzzStream?
You can check out raven tools - they have a lot of these features, and also deal with lots of other channels - they're a very good multipurpose tool - http://raventools.com/ - I've used them in the past - granted they offer fewer services now since they no longer provide rank tracking, but they're very good for link building management, social, reporting, analytics, kw research, and lots of other features.

Is blog commenting still useful for SEO, post Panda and Penguin?
I understand your despair. Site optimization has really gone a long way from just throwing links out there.

Link Building Techniques of 2013
Hi Christopher Link Round ups and Resource pages are quite common on the web especially with bloggers. I wrote a post about finding and approaching these types of sites... http://www.boom-online.co.uk/link-building-blog-round-ups/

Internal links
Hey André I'm a little unsure as to your question... but I think you are asking if it is bad to link to internal too many times with the same keywords? If that's the case then yes make sure you diversify the anchor text you are using to link to your pages.

Links on Charity websites?
So you're saying that you can get a link on a links page, which has very few outbound links, from a charity website? I think you should take it, the website will most likely have a good authority and will be held in high regard over time as long as the site owners are responsible with their external linking strategies.

Sponsorships for local events?
I would probably use a tool such as Link Prospector or Scrapebox and a handful of advanced search queries to return lots of results at once. Ben gave a good one "things to do +city" but there are a lot more too: City + "event sponsor" City + "our sponsors" City + sponsor list City + sponsor contest City + supporter "thank you"

Are these 15 links worth it
Assuming each of these 15 links takes you about 5 minutes on average to get then you will spend about 75 minutes getting them. Many of these links are from high traffic and high DA websites so they could actually rank in the SERP's for your business or brand name as well as send a small amount of referral traffic. Ultimately I would go for relevance over these 15 links but for just over an hours work most of these links are easy to obtain and may even count towards your performance in the SERP's.

Keyword Alt text in Links
Thanks again for the reply. Will go watch the video now. Good to hear there should be no problem with that link. Because its good to know people feel happy enough to recommend my site, but its then a shame to worry that they may be harming my site unintentionally. Thanks.

Disavow links returning?
Thank you Tom. We were unaware of the bug within G. Guess that answers it. So, a follow up question, if I may? We, and I have seen others, have submitted multiple versions of the disavow file. Unless we keep absolute track of these links and domains there is no way to know if the links are indexed and hurting us? If we have a domain that has been disavowed, but still shows in GWT, how can we tell if it is in index for our site? Thanks again.

Which are the best directory submission sites: UBL.org, localeeze.com, web-listings.net, other?
Trying to create a CONSISTENT NAP info across ALL directories and local listings, as well as get some back-links to get some local SEO boost, in a time-and-price efficient way. Do not mind paying but if it a lot of duplicate directories, we figured it might make sure we pick the ones with least overlap and largest reach of quality directories.

Link building for a product review site
Hey Mike, Apologies if i pronounced your name incorrectly. In answer to your questions: 1. Do both. The review on the site will bring in longtail traffic for the client and the link from the competition or secondary review will pass more authority back to your site. 2. That's a tricky one- what is the local language? In the first instance I would use advanced operators that alow content submissions or have communities around your product. FOr example: intitle:write for us "beauty" or use the wildcard to search for lists "top*Beauty Blogs [local place name]" 3.Why not contact a local beauty school and ask them to trial the product? Or sponsor a prize giving/ award ceremony/study group/sports team and get them to link back to your site. 4. This depends on the scenario, if you link is on a blogroll with 100 other links all using keywords to link then this is bad .But if your site is on a blogroll with a small amount of quality sites, this is fine. Link Building is like your diet, everything is fine in moderation.

Dofollow 2 nofollow
Also, a link is still a link. Even if it's a no follow link on an external website, it can still help your website from a user experience. If website B has a lot of dedicated visitors and traffic, they could follow your link back to your website and become fans of yours. Just something else to keep in mind.
