Hi dealblogger, In the situation that you describe, what I would do then is separate out these items and make them two categories, one for maternity deals and one for pregnancy deals. Put all the maternity clothes and gifts under the first category and all the pregnancy pillows and prenatal items under the second category. This will enable you to land people searching for the right items under the right category. It will also enable you to focus traffic to the right part of your site based upon intent. Hi! Instead of blocking the old site.com/category/categoryname by robots.txt you should do a 301 redirect to site.com/categoryname. That way you will get the new pages indexed faster, and keep traffic from all the old links etc. Hope this helps Anders

If Keyword 1 | Keyword 2, etc. are relevant to the page, then it makes sense to have it. But often, that comes across as spammy (Stuff | Stuff Online | Buy Stuff Online | My Domain). And those keywords that you pick are likely to super high volume, obvious keywords that you will have a hard time ranking for. I think the new rule is to make this "natural" as you say, but also beneficial. Maybe you come at it like this: Stuff, Information About Stuff, and All the New Stuff at MyDomain.com. Make it helpful, give your page some context. Spam is only good with eggs, and then only in moderation.

Dinesh, Go look at the code for any site using BazaarVoice and you'll see that they have found a way to do this. If Shopper Approved doesn't think this is important enough to fix then perhaps you should look into another review vendor. Regards, Everett

Technically that could be done in your robots.txt file but I wouldn't recommend that if you want Google to crawl them too.  I'm not sure if Rogerbot can do that.  Sorry I couldn't be more help. If you don't get one of the staffers on here in the next few days, I would send a ticket to them for clarification. Thanks Adam for your reply. Actually I am using JW Player for playing my video. I use only desktop page to show in all smart phones. But only in BlackBerry video is not playing.

I took a peek at a couple of your blog posts and didn't see anything that was linking back to the services that those posts may be ranking for.  Would be a good idea that when you are making a post that relates to one of your services to link back to that service page.

A 200 does mean "OK" - for that URL (note - not for the site). So, if you want the www. version indexed rather than the non-www version then you want http://www.keepsake.... so return a 200 response ("Yes - this URL is OK"), but you want http://keepsake... to return a 301 ("This URL is not OK. It has moved to http://www.keepsake... "). As I say, some of your URLs do that correctly, so whoever put the redirects in place understood what they were aiming for.  However the ones with the trailing slash don't. Is that a little clearer?

I am sure if you searched for " ~images -images" before Google decided to drop the ~ operator , pictures would have come up as an alternate keyword and so, they would have seen it as a close match for pictures and served your site for your query. It was one of my fav tool for finding alternate keywords to optimise for , sadly that is gone now As for on page vs off page both are important .. it not an "either or" condition you should do both to get good results , especially if the competition is strong.

No Shailendra is saying you want a 301 rewrite mechanism so that anyone looking for example.html is redirected to example. If you have been using example.html for some time what happens to the guys who have linked to these pages, or any links you have created - they need to be handled by a 301 rewrite.  The snippet of code below placed in your .htaccess should fix.  Take a backup copy first to restore if you hit any problems.

Shay, You can use a tool like screamingfrog or xenu to crawl your site and see on which page you have links to those images.
