Do I need to have a canonical tag for each page on my website ?
Hi there, Just to add to Ross's answer, it is best practice to have a canonical tag on every page - either self-referencing or referencing another page if that is correct. However, if you don't have them, you won't necessarily see any big problems unless you also have duplicate content problems. Cheers. Paddy

What type of backlinks do I need to rank for local queries?
Hi there, You need to build backlinks that have local queries in them. For example, if you want to rank for personal injury lawyer NYC then you need to get some backlinks that will have keyword-rich anchor texts. You can find more information on local SEO here https://moz.com/local-search-ranking-factors Ross
