I am using FeedBurner email service for years and quite happy with it. It helps me get some traffic (from visitors clicking on the links in the email) and moreover it helps me to maintain a loyal readership.
Before switching from email lists to Feedburner you have to consider certain things. Most email list services like Aweber, GetResponse etc. will help you to send RSS updates to your email list. One of the main advantages with such services is that apart from this RSS updates you can also send some promotional emails to your list (like promoting your service, product etc.). So you will have more control over your list with such services.
But you can't do that in Feeedburner, it will just send your RSS updates. But the biggest advantage it has is that it is absolutely free.
So you have to make the decision depending on your goals. If you plan to do email marketing then better stick with email list services, else go for Feedburner.
