I'm a relative novice in the field of SEO. I always had an interest in search but i really started to tune in after SESNYC 07, when my company gave me the oppurtunity to visit New York and take in this great conference. Listening to all those experts, Danny Sullivan , Rand Fishkin, Matt Cutts, Eric Ward etc. was a great experience and really whetted my appetite to learn more and apply this knowledge to the benefit of our customers. Hopefully they'll agree it's working
