You are correct. This is essentially "duplicate content". I would have to assume that Google would then rank these types of pages on metrics other than content (inbound links, social shares, other SEO metrics... and probably breadth of a content library). But who really knows? You could just start comparing those types of sites to and get a good idea how Google is ranking them. Interesting to think about. Mike

Hi Pushkar... one more question: the site is targeting a Google different from the .com one? Because if it is so, then - despite of all the chat about the EMD Update - that update never rolled out out of Google.com and English, hence the EMD in all the other Googles and languages had been not touched directly, if not because of Penguin and only if their link profile was very poor.
