Hey all,

with a few projects I'm ranking really great. Having a good amount of impressions with terms that have decent search volume.

Webmasters shows:

1. "tax consultant city" Ranking 1.4 => 1056 imp => 3% CTR
2. "seo city" Ranking 1.2 => 329 imp => 1% CTR

Whats up here?

1. Competitors are seaching a lot but not clicking?
2. Brand issues? Can't believe that.
3. Title is boring? German titles a are longer... So I don't have enough room to play. Should I get rid of important keywords? Maybe I don't need them to rank? Gives me room for tests.
4. Local Box is steeling all the clicks? We are in the local listings and above.
5. Payed Ads are steeling all the clicks? At this point we don't use AdWords because of high costs and our great organic rankings

It would be great to hear your thoughts.

I've talked with Robert in a PM. And yes his answer was great and helpful.

What you are describing must be correct. I checked the rankings manually and i found out that for the other keywords the site is in places now. SEOmoz isn't up do date yet.

To answer your questions. I think Google took time to rearange the rankings. So, I've seen sometimes nothing. But now I'm ranking for 4/5 of keywords in blended/places. That's great.

But two question left:

If I got a "merged" ranking in places, I'l will never be on position one in none blended/places rankings (results before blended/places)? No chance to get twice in it?

They and I haven't changed anything on their website.

I relunched the website. After the relunch the rankings were well after a few weeks and for a few weeks. And than this drop. Maybe the site had the freshness bonus?

What do you mean exactly with: "Have you checked if the keywords in Google Places are connected to the keywords they used to show up with?" Do you mean the categories in Google Places profile?
