Hi Kathy, I had a client that we recently did this for and I can say that this isn't true. What could have an effect on your rankings would be if you update to the new version and change all of the URL settings and page title settings, etc. Just make sure that you make a backup and keep your existing settings intact.

Hi Kathy, Raven made a decision to stop showing ranking reports on their own, I don't believe they had to give them up (as far as I know). We currently don't have any plans on changing our services, but we did recently ask folks to help us understand what data is most necessary for them: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/which-data-matters-most-to-marketers-take-the-survey. I choose not to split it.  With all that has changed in the SEO world I am glad I did not.  The site has fared well thru all the changes and still ranks well for both divisions.
