Help with https// redirects
The only way to make the redirects happen, is to renable SSL. Because you can't do that with adobe catalyst, you have no option but to put a proxy in front of the requests to catalyst. The easiest solution you will find is a CloudFlare Pro account: https://www.cloudflare.com/plans You can set that up with your own custom SSL. Your client will continue to use Catalyst exactly as they do today, and get all the other benefits of cloud flare. CloudFlare of course isn't your only option for a proxy, but your not going to beat it when it comes to both Price ($20 / month), and Ease of Use.

Weird 404 URL Problem - domain name being placed at end of urls
Hey Jay, Can you tell me, how you found the incorrect html? I am having the exact same problem, as you did back then, but I don't know where to look. I am having two sites, both Wordpress and build over the same theme, but one has a lot of 404 errors according to Moz and Webmastertools. The other one doesn't. It's it driving me crazy! Thanks!

Why are "outdated" or "frowned upon" tactics still dominating?
it depends on the niche and the specific keyword. It's actually pretty normal on many niches. Some are monitored more closely by Google. Some get away with it for the next 3-6 (sometimes more) months Those tactics still work, with just a few tweaks this time around and not just 1 anchor blasts. Plus there are a lot of non-mainstream tactics being applied today so it is harder to find out. You can see them with majestic, and your other link checkers, but most of the best SEO's, you won't see their links at all.
