Do those pages still exist in any form? If they return a 404 header status then they should automatically be removed eventually. You can check the header status with my tool http://www.jamiestevens.me.uk/headr

If they do return a 404 header status and you do not want to wait for them to be crawled again you can use the remove URLs tool in Google webmaster tools.

Are you able to add a search feature for Google Analytics accounts when you are adding a new Moz Pro Campaign and trying to connect the analytics account? We currently manage hundreds of websites with multiple analytics profiles and it is a horrible experience to spend over 10 minutes constantly scrolling through accounts that are in no specific order to find the correct one, and then having to repeat the experience because you went a bit too fast and missed the account.

This is a major pain point for me and I rarely even bother to connect to Moz Pro to analytics accounts any more as the experience of it is awful.

Hi Jacqui, Can you provide an example of one of the pages? There can be many reasons why a page is not ranking and without taking a look at the page it is impossible to tell.

I work for a small web agency and I noticed that many of the sites that we build have been using the same privacy policy. Obviously it can be a bit of a nightmare to write a unique privacy policy for each client so is Google likely to class this as duplicate content and result in a penalty? They must realise that privacy policies are likely to be the same or very similar as most legal writing tends to be!

I can block the content in robots.txt or meta no-index it if necesarry but I just wanted to get some feedback to see if this is necessary!

On these pages http://www.eumom.ie/pregnancy/ the canonical is blank, though Google should ignore it. The page is indexed so it should not be an issue

Whether there is a problem with the canonical tag depends on whether these pages are the main pages that you want to rank for the content that they contain, if these pages do not contain duplicate content then how they are should be ok.

If you remove the URLs using the tool they will stop ranking as soon as Google trys to crawl the pages again. This may take a little a little while depending on how many pages are currently linking to the pages that you want removed. Unfortunately there is no way to get them removed with immediate effect, though it is unlikely that a few duplicate title tags will have a huge effect on rankings.
