Thanks. Should I add the canonical tag to all pages on the website? And how do I do this in WordPress SEO?

Crawl Issue Found: No rel="canonical" Tags
Given that google have stated that duplicate content is not penalised is this really something that will give sufficient benefits for the time involved? Also, reading some of the articles on moz.com they seem very ambivalent about its use – for example http://moz.com/blog/rel-confused-answers-to-your-rel-canonical-questionsWill any page with a canonical link normally NOT be indexed by google? Thanks.

RE: Removing www from printed and digital
It looks cleaner without the www. Would it affect it negatively if we changed it? Thanks.

Removing www from printed and digital
I wanted to make sure there will be no negative SEO implications if we change all ‘www.fdmgroup.com' references (printed and digital)? After some Googling, apparently some search engines regard www.fdmgroup.com and fdmgroup.com as two different websites and split SEO rankings (quote me if i’m wrong!).To date, a lot (if not all) of our online presence (e.g. adverts, banner links etc) use www.fdmgroup.com (both visually and in HTML markup) so these would also need updating to remove the 'www'.What are your thoughts? For the sake of SEO and canonical/duplicate content/ranking issues etc, would changing all www.fdmgroup.com references have a negative effect?

RE: Meta refresh
Jane,
I've seen the meta refresh reported on this page: http://www.fdmgroup.com/fdm-group-speaks-out-against-the-revelation-that-one-in-four-graduates-fail-to-find-work/
I've since removed the email address on this page. Is meta refresh still an issue? Thanks.

RE: Duplicate content - news archive
From developer: "Looking into this, we need to have /uk/blog, /us/blog and /ca/blog in order for them to appear on the menus – we could put a noindex meta tag on the us and ca pages to avoid duplicates?"
Or do you recommend href lang tag? Thanks.

I think Chinese uses fewer characters to express meaning.

RE: Pages with Duplicate Page Title
From my developer: "That isn’t redirecting at all – blog.fdmgroup.com is an A record for the website – it’s only the raw domain that has a 301 redirect.Any existing link to a page on the OLD blog doesn’t have a redirect unless you configure one on the new website e.ghttp://www.fdmgroup.com/fdm-group-speaks-out-against-the-revelation-that-one-in-four-graduates-fail-to-find-work/"Thanks.

Pages with Title Element is Too Short (Chinese)
How do these issues apply to a Chinese website? Should I ignore the issues on Moz regarding this? Thanks.

Meta refresh
What does this mean? That isn’t an address on the website (fdmgroup.com)?All I can think of is that there may be some email address incorrectly entered on the blog somewhere – but it’s not a meta-refreshLooking at the referring page http://www.fdmgroup.com/fdm-group-speaks-out-against-the-revelation-that-one-in-four-graduates-fail-to-find-work/ - a blog entry from 2011 – it seems someone’s tried to attach google tracking code to the email address? Thanks in advance.

RE: Pages with Duplicate Page Title
From my developer: "It already is."
Is that the case based on this screenshot? Thanks in advance.

RE: Pages with Duplicate Page Title
96 pages (not to be confused with blog posts). The issue isn't that I don't have time to edit it, it's what to name the pages. The pages simply list several blog posts which are sorted chronologically, so I can't really title them properly, per se.

RE: Pages with Duplicate Page Title
Thanks - I am using an SEO plugin. The issue is that it's reading the duplicate titles for each blog page (by pages, I mean the Older Posts display): http://www.fdmgroup.com/ca/blog/page/8

RE: Pages with Duplicate Page Title
blog is located on the domain (not a subdomain) - fdmgroup.com/blog/ - are duplicate titles still an issue? Thanks in advance.

Pages with Duplicate Page Title
Blog - FDM Group has duplicate page title for all blog posts.
We also have multiple localized versions of pages, so the titles are seen as duplicate.
Possible resolutions? Thanks in advance.

RE: Duplicate content - news archive
From my developer:"Doing a bit of research Google have explicitly stated that that don’t penalise duplicate content unless it appears to be deliberately deceptive. The only issue is which version appears in the search results.Duplicate content on a site is not grounds for action on that site unless it appears that the intent of the duplicate content is to be deceptive and manipulate search engine results. If your site suffers from duplicate content issues, and you don't follow the advice listed above, we do a good job of choosing a version of the content to show in our search results.https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66359?hl=enMatt Cutts, Google’s head of search spam, posted a video today about duplicate content and the repercussions of it within Google’s search results.Matt said that somewhere between 25% to 30% of the content on the web is duplicative. Of all the web pages and content across the internet, over one-quarter of it is repetitive or duplicative. But Cutts says you don’t have to worry about it. Google doesn’t treat duplicate content as spam. It is true that Google only wants to show one of those pages in their search results, which may feel like a penalty if your content is not chosen — but it is not.Google takes all the duplicates and groups them into a cluster. Then Google will show the best of the results in that cluster.Matt Cutts did say Google does reserve the right to penalize a site that is excessively duplicating content, in a manipulative manner. But overall, duplicate content is normal and not spam.http://searchengineland.com/googles-matt-cutts-25-30-of-the-webs-content-is-duplicate-content-thats-okay-180063http://searchengineland.com/googles-matt-cutts-duplicate-content-wont-hurt-you-unless-it-is-spammy-167459Cheers"

Duplicate content - news archive
Most of them are due to news items having more than 1 category – which is pretty normal. Also /us/blog, /uk/blog and /ca/blog are effectively the same page.None of them are actually duplicate content – just alternate URLs for the same pagehttp://www.fdmgroup.com/category/news/

Website Migration
Are there any SEO issues with fdmgroup.com that I should address? We recently migrated to a new website redesign. Thanks.
