In the middle of September we launched a redesigned version of our site. The urls all stayed the same. Since site launch traffic in Google has steadily increased but Bing traffic has dropped by about 50%. Any ideas on what I should look at?

How should I setup schema.org for ecommerce site?
I understand how to do products, what I am more curious about is the organization schema. Is it worth it to set it up as an ecommerce business? I would have to set it up on the About Us page for the site, does it matter to Google that it is not located on the homepage?

RE: Traffic has not recovered from https switch a year ago.
I have read in so many places that it caused a dip for others as well. I had a really bad experience with a site move once so I had a checklist of everything and double and triple checked it, but it has just been a slow decline.

Hi Cyrus,
1. I believe that pagination is implemented correctly. Is there anything specific you think I should check?
2. Canonicals are in place.
3. The category pages do not have their own introductory text.
4. We have the title tags and descriptions set.
Wanted to also add that we have the correct schema on the pages as well.

I don't see where he asked about the site structure, but no it didn't change.
Reporting has not changed, no new filters, we block our company's visits, tracking code is consistent.

All pages have dipped a little but the category pages seems to have lost the bulk. We have had rankings and sales drops. Canonicals are in correctly and sitemaps have been updated properly.

1. The traffic decline wasn't sudden or initially very much. If you look at our traffic it looks like a pyramid with the peak being when we switched to https. It has just been a slow gradual decline every since.
2. The migration was Sept 11 last year, I don't think there was anything that week.
3. User behavior has stayed constant.
4. No spike in errors, the migration went very smooth.

RE: Traffic has not recovered from https switch a year ago.
I am in the middle of doing an audit to see if I may have missed something. We are fully mobile optimized. Maybe it was a penalty but there has never been a single black hat trick used on the site. Panda hit that month but we have just been on a slow decline for the last year so that it is now 50%. As an ecommerce site I can't think of a scenario where Panda would hit us unless we were doing something we shouldn't have.

HTTPS did cause the site speed to slow down a little bit, we knew that was coming so right after launch we did some optimizations so it is now faster with https then before with http.

Traffic has not recovered from https switch a year ago.
I have an ecommerce site that was switched to https a year ago almost to the day. Our category pages are about half of what they were. The redirects were put in properly, and everything in webmaster tools looks good. Anything out there I may not have thought of?
Want to add that the drop is only in Google, Bing stayed just fine.

RE: How did my dev site end up in the search results?
It just uses internal links. Do you think I should try the webmaster tools removal? That seems like it could go wrong.

RE: How did my dev site end up in the search results?
I have ran screaming frog to see if there are any links to any pages and but couldn't see any. Even if Google did try to follow it the firewall would stop them. It is so strange.

RE: How did my dev site end up in the search results?
They are telling me that there are no holes, and I have tried getting to the pages but can not do it unless I am on my vpn.

RE: How did my dev site end up in the search results?
We never updated the robots.txt because the site was behind a firewall. If you click on any of the results it will not load the page unless on my VPN.

How did my dev site end up in the search results?
We use a subdomain for our dev site. I never thought anything of it because the only way you can reach the dev site is through a vpn. Google has somehow indexed it. Any ideas on how that happened? I am adding the noindex tag, should I used canonical? Or is there anything else you can think of?

RE: Sudden drop in index, is this a bug?
I saw that but that is for the sitemap index, is that considered the same as total amount of indexed pages?

Sudden drop in index, is this a bug?
We haven't made any sort of changes to the website recently and we had a 10% drop in indexed pages. I know there is rumors of a bug, has this happened to anyone else?

RE: Did I get hit with a panda update?
It isn't like we have no traffic, we still get thousands in organic traffic a day. It just isn't as much as it used to be.
We are the largest in our industry, not near the size of Amazon or Ebay, but still pretty large. So we have customers who exclusively sell through us. Most of our sellers are small business and don't have in house technical teams, so it is easier working with us.
I understand content marketing and we are starting to do that but if we have been hit with Panda I don't know if it matters.

Did I get hit with a panda update?
I have a site that is a marketplace. We don't own any items, the sellers fill everything out and then it goes up on the site. Many of our sellers also have their own sites and just send us a spreadsheet with all of their items and we bulk upload. In that case what we are putting up is very similar to what they already have up on their own site.
I used the Fruition penalty checker and they seem to be suggesting that we got hit with some penalties for Panda and Quality Content. With the Google Algorithm it is hard to know for sure what we got hit with.
Is it possible Google sees us as one of those crappy scraper sites? Is there anything we can do? We never see the items so I can't add to peoples description.
