How can my national ecommerce site geo target specific states for specific pages?
Hi, I would guess that creating city/product landing pages wouldn't do you any harm. Just substitute CITYNAME in the usual places Tile, H1 tag etc.. on the catalog category or landing pages and as the products would be using different copy you should not have any duplicate content issues. For shopping carts or static pages you could create 2 versions of the respective landing pages or page parts ie the position of banners, or alternative versions of copy and run A/B split tests or multi-variant tests which you will be able to analyse in Google analytics or a similar system. I don't know what technology you use but this facility is available in good e-commerce systems such as Magento for example. Some companies such as CityVisitor (UK) or Infoserve (UK & INT) offer guaranteed keyword listings in specific cities but we found them a very expensive alternative to good organic SEO. Richard

Total Links has doubled in less than one month!? Trust and Authority Drop
You would need to know how many pages you actually do have before you can figure out if something is wrong. As far as your authority and trust, over how long a time have they been dropping? You should be looking at your analytics to see if your search traffic is down and looking at your rankings to see if those have changed. Have you established a baseline on those factors yet so you can track how your site may be deviating from those measurements? Do you know if you have redirects set up between your www and non www versions of your site?
