Do backlinks need to be clicked to pass linkjuice? Is so, can someone explain how much traffic is needed from a backlink to count as linkjuice?

Would anyone kindly share their experience using HARO (help a reporter out) to connect with media outlets? I have heard it mentioned here in MOZ a few times and tried it myself (as a source). I have not had much luck but can anyone else provide their experience using the service?

Also, what would a good pitch be one reaching out as a source?

We are trying to see if we can connect with other journalist, bloggers, and media outlets. As a result, we have been exploring Cision and their "Media Audience" to reach different writers and influencers.

I understand their tool has other options but we are only interested in this part of it.

Have you had any experience using Cision or Cision's contact list for their Media Audience? If so, what was the experience and result?
