Using Tag Assistant (Google Chrome add-on), we have found that the site's pages has GA codes.

      (also see screenshot 1)

However, when we used Screaming Frog's filter feature -- Configuration > Custom > Search > Contain/Does Not Contain,

      (see screenshot 2)

SF is displaying several URLs (maybe all) of the site under 'Does Not Contain' which means that in SF's crawl, the site's pages has no GA code.

      (see screenshot 3)

What could be the problem why SF states that there is no GA code in the site's pages when in fact, there are codes based on Tag Assistant/Manager? Please give us steps/ways on how to fix this issue. Thanks!

        Hi,

What ScreamingFrog is looking for is the actual UA-code on the site itself so in the code. But Google Tag Manager won't show this and will load GA itself via JavaScript which doesn't make it available for ScreamingFrog. That's why it won't show up for you. What you could do is set-up a custom filter in ScreamingFrog to check for the GTM code snippet so you can find out if you miss GTM somewhere on the site.

        • How long will old pages stay in Google's cache index. We have a new site that is two months old but we are seeing old pages even though we used 301 redirects.

        • Can't support IE 7,8,9, 10\. Can we redirect them to another page that's optimized for those browsers so that we can have our site work on modern browers while still providing a destination of IE browsers?
