This is probably a trivial question for most here, but I wanted to try a rich snippet with our logo.  I put in the code at www.waikoloavacationrentals.com/kolea-rentals

I would appreciate it if anyone could give me feedback as to if it was done correctly.  I would think this is pretty common, but have not seen many articles out there about a business logo.  Most of what I have seen is to display a person or a product.  Thanks,

While Google seems to see the "logo" and has your image URL with it, the serp markup doesn't look any different:

        http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.waikoloavacationrentals.com%2Fkolea-rentals%2F

So I'm not sure it's doing what you would like.  I think what you're looking for is going to be publisher markup - which doesn't work very often from what I've seen.

Yes, it is kind of interesting.  Obviously everyone has their little niche.  For me I rent vacation rentals.  I do not sell a product and we are a company and not an individual.  I am sure there are plenty others out there like me.  I find it odd that google does not have something specific for this.

            Hello Rob,

Rich snippets are still in an early fase so i understand your pain about not being able to show your logo in the SERP's. The publisher markup is an option as Matt Antonino mentioned but this only shows up for brand queries so it might not be what you're looking for.

I do see that you have a YouTube video placed prominently on the homepage. Perhaps you could use a video sitemap to get a video rich snippet?
The process for this is described here: Video sitemap for vimeo and youtube

Other than that it's not possible as far as i know to get a good rich snippet for a business if you do not have a specific product or recipe to show.
