Crawl report - duplicate page title/content issue
-
When the crawl report is finished, it is saying that there are duplicate content/page titles issues. However there is a canonical tag that is formatted correctly so just wondered if this was a bug or if anyone else was having the same issues?
For example, I'm getting a error warning for this page
http://www.thegreatgiftcompany.com/categories/categories_travel?sort=name_asc&searchterm=&page=1&layout=table

Hi Karl
I wouldn't worry about the report if the tag is in place and working correctly (which it appears to be). Can't answer on Moz's behalf as to how it reports this, but I certainly wouldn't worry about it.
A quick Google search confirms that the above URL is not being indexed, so the duplicate content issue is avoided.
Like I say, can't answer on their behalf but I hope this alleviates any potential fears.

Thanks Tom, I figured that was the case but wanted to pose the question to the community! It's just a bit of a pain when you see those errors!! Panic station!

The base url http://www.thegreatgiftcompany.com/categories/categories_travel?sort=name_asc&searchterm=&page=1&layout=table is indexed by Google - what is evident is that the url would be classes as having too many variables to be indexed correctly. If it's a big issue just add it to robots.txt but i don't think its a big issue.
Also for clarity canonicals should be absolute and not relative, this prevents all kinds of issues.
