We are having some really good results with our SEO strategies for local search and long tail searches for our clients on Google; however, Bing is a completely different story in a couple of cases. What is Bing looking for that Google is not? We have even noticed that something may rank well in Bing then not show up at all in Google? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Google and Bing are the two different search engines and the way they look in to the website and are slightly different from each other and this is one of the main reasons why the keywords that rank well in Google might not rank well in Bing.

I think if you don’t leave any loose point and cover every single step properly that includes load time, content, on-page optimization, linking strategy, social media and more... you will notice you will start ranking better for both search engines.

What i mean to discuss here is that they do not intersect each other but this is quite possible (for example) that Google give more preference to linking strategy where as Bing consider on-page optimization as more important as compare to the linking strategy...

I agree with Moosa. Seems like Google weighs more heavily on inbound links/social signals then on-page. Whereas Bing weighs on-page optimization more heavily than Google. On-page and off-page is weighed on Bink & Google, but at different values.

          • Has anyone noticed a big delta between Google and Bing rankings? For example, we rank favorably in Google, but not so favorably in Bing. Are there different tactics I should use to rank better in Bing?
