My staff wants me to explain to them the basics of some social media sites (i.e. linkedin, facebook, twitter, etc.). How they are important to business, some actual case studies, how it relates to B2B marketing, etc.

Anyone know of any good speeches, TED talks, YouTube videos, etc?

For a very basic overview these 'in plain English' videos are a good start (but a little dated now):

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpIOClX1jPE

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddO9idmax0o&feature=plcp

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN2I1pWXjXI&feature=plcp

Getting more advanced you could point them in the direction of the FB for business page: http://www.facebook.com/business which contains videos, guides and success stories.
