Keyword domains

Hello,
I am the proprietor of RacquetSource.com,
Is there any merit to using keyword domains and have them redirect to the site, or a specific page on the site?
For Example, the keyword term, Squash Racquets, if I were to purchase a domain name, squash-racquets.com and have it redirect to http://www.racquetsource.com/squash-racquets-s/95.htm will this effect positively to my search ranking of the keyword term Squash Racquets?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hi Geoff
Probably not the answer you'd like to hear; there will be absolutely zero SEO benefit from doing this. The new domain would have no history behind it, thus zero strength to pass on, no matter how many relevant keywords are in it, simply doesn't work like that.
If you were to purchase an existing website with keywords in the domain and redirect that, a different story, there would be some SEO benefit, so long as that website is a good quality website with a positive history.
Though the reason to do that wouldn't be for the keywords anyway, as it's the general consensus that keyworded domains do not carry as much SEO weight as they used to. Such a purchase and redirect would be for the overall websites' positive qualities rather than the keywords in the domain.

Thank you Simon,
Is there a more powerful way to get my specific Squash Racquets page ranked higher in addition to additional content and optimization?
