Depends on what you use it for.  When I was an affiliate marketer I used it a lot for auto posting.  But I obviously don't recommend you do that for any legitimate site (or at all really).  These days the chief value I get from it is generating keyword lists.  It is fairly powerful.  When you build a list, you can then copy the generated list to your seed list, and generate even more.

In addition to this, it is useful for performing google "dorks" to find sites that may be of interest to you for linking, or some other reason.

There can be massive negative effects.

          1. You'll annoy a lot of blog owners, some will report you for spam

          2. You'll get tonnes of worthless links from worthless blogs filled with other spammers, therefore connecting yourself to some iffy neighbourhoods

          3. You'll end up with lots of links that have your same anchor text keywords in from one link type... blogs. This will look unnatural for your link profile

My view: It used to work, not so much anymore... might still work a little but there are risks, especially to your brand.

Panda seems to have diminished even more the value of low quality links, and low quality links is what you'll get with auto linking software. This brings down the benefits while the risks stay the same.

            Scrapebox good software in research

i'm not using it to post spam comments because most of this worthless and not affect in SERP'S and sometimes have negative effects if you post links to money site not layers .

BUT i use it to find similar sites to me AND high value websites with amazing PR and authority

at all i use all Scrapebox options except post comments 😄

My thought : Scrapebox like Photoshop

every one can learn photoshop but few people can make amazing designs
