How much does your agency charge in the US for social media marketing? (anonymous)

Hi, my friend's boutique seo agency in the USA is recently diving into social media and he's wondering how much to charge monthly for social media marketing to be competitive for medium sized businesses. Facebook / twitter interaction + maintaining a blog.

I know one big company in the USA that charges monthly at $1,500. 
Can a few people shoot some numbers at me anonymously without saying who charges what?

It would depend on what services and strategies were included. For example, how many blog posts per month? Do you just monitor the Facbook page or pro-actively promote it? Do you run contests or viral promotions?

No contests, 14 posts a month on twitter and facebook - 3 blog posts as an example.

Can you throw some numbers at me? $1,500 - $5,000

Well, let's look at it from an hourly perspective.

14 posts a month on twitter and facebook = maybe 3-5 hours?

3 blog posts = could be 3 hours, could be 20 hours, depending on depth and complexity

As far as hourly rates, I would expect something roughly as follows:

<$100 for small, startup, new, etc agencies
$100-200 for small to medium agencies
$200+ for larger and more established agencies

So if we budgeted 15 hours, cost might be $1,000-$3,000+
