How do you monitor conversion of the website?

I have being using lot of free tools, for monitoring traffic for my website www.akshayapatra.org. Tools like Google Analytic. I have not able able to track conversion , from all part of the internet.we get traffic from Social media, news letter campaign, Free sources like article submission, and many other sources, but could not justify that the conversations was due to particular campaign or efforts
is their any best practice to resolve this issue?
I need to track how we can track the keywords which are bring us the donation online? How many keywords would you suggest me to track and monitor.

You can set goals and funnels in GA and also craft URLs with the utm tags for different channels.
If you can elaborate on your question I may be able to help further. I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve.

Hi Naveen,
tracking conversions in Google Analytics is easy. Click on "Edit" for the Profile you are using, and under Goals, you can set up up to 20 goals. For "Goal Type", select "URL Destination", then enter the URL of your conversion page (e.g. thank you after a purchase, download or newsletter sign up). This way, when you are looking at the Report for this Profile in GA, you will see the conversions. For example, go to Referring Sites (under Traffic Sources), and next to the Tab "Site Usage" you will see "Goal Set 1" and the conversions for each referrer. You can use utm tags to track certain campaigns (for example different banners) but for normal referrers, you do not have to set up anything apart from the goals.
