      Greetings,

I want to optimize my site, www.atstrust.com. I know that posts to Facebook and Twitter help improve ranks. Does it matter though if my twitter/facebook sites have a different name than the domain I am optimizing?

For example, my Facebook site is facebook.com/easyinspection. I assume that doesn't matter as long as the URLs on the site refer to my domain?

      Thanks!

      Eric

Creating of own pages on FB & Twitter is just one step. Google uses/will use other signals also such as user reputation, diversity of posts/tweets, cross-referencing with other metrics, geo location...etc. It will be these that will influence results more than your own pages.

Are your pages relative, if so i think that would be enouth. I believe in imperfect SEO, being too optimized may look a bit suss. i believe that looking natural is important

I dont think that vanity URLs matter that much (if at all). I think that building authority and posting relevanta and useful information is more important than the handle name. I would get some reputation on the social media accounts 1st rather than worry about the username or twitter handle for the social media handles.
