I have heard that it’s linking domains or refereeing domains declined and the graph looks like its declining, i will look shady in engines eyes

If your website looses good authority linking domains, then it may affect your ranking in search engine.

If the PageRank of these domains are <4/10, then this could actually help you as they are from low quality domains.

If the PageRank is 4/10 or higher, then your rankings are going to drop like a rock.
