hi google is seeing many of our pages and dupliates but they have canonical url on there

      https://www.hijabgem.com/index.php/maxi-shirt-dress.html

      has tags

      https://www.hijabgem.com/maxi-shirt-dress.html
      has tagshttps://www.hijabgem.com/index.php/quickview/index/view/id/4693

my question is which page takes authority?and are they setup correct, can you have more than one link rel="canonical" on one page?

        Hi there,

With just ONE TAG is enough. There is no need to duplicate them. Even more to set several canonical tags to different pages.
That´s referring to this page: https://www.hijabgem.com/index.php/quickview/index/view/id/4693

The page that gets the ranking signals is the latter pointed in the canonical tag. To be more specific, in this page: https://www.hijabgem.com/index.php/maxi-shirt-dress.html, as you are using a canonical to https://www.hijabgem.com/maxi-shirt-dress.html you are telling google to index and show in SERPs the latter.

        Best luck.
        GR.

          Hello Hijabgem,

You should NOT have more than one Rel = "Canonical" tag per page. However, as is the case with the page below, if the tag is the same URL in both instances on the page it probably isn't going to cause any problems:

          | rel="canonical" href="https://www.hijabgem.com/maxi-shirt-dress.html" /> |
          |   | rel="stylesheet" href="//maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.2.0/css/font-awesome.min.css" /> |
          |   | rel="canonical" href="https://www.hijabgem.com/maxi-shirt-dress.html" /> |
