4 sites - 4 keyword sets?
-
Hi,
I have 4 domains and 4 keyword sets i.e.
- penny stocks
- mutual funds
- stocks
- day trading
My question is: what is the better approach:
-
Have each site around one set e.g. everything about "penny stocks"
- Site A - penny stocks
- Site B - mutual funds
- Site C - stocks
- Site D - day trading
-
Create 4 categories in each website about each set of keywords?
- Site A - penny stocks | mutual funds | stocks | day trading
- and the same..
Thank you,
Alex

The more relevant the better so option 1.
-
Cant say without knowing what the sites are meant to achieve - why do they exist, how do they monetise?
-
The aim is to get as many people interested in the penny stock market to sign up. Can't talk about the business model though (not sure this is so important anyway.)
The idea is that people interesting in mutual funds might be also interested in the penny stocks...and so on.
I hope I answered your question,
Alex

Hi Alex
Option 2 would have the benefit that you could potentially occupy 4 spots in the first page of the search results for each keyword phrase. You would need to be careful to ensure no duplicate content across the domains and also be very careful when interlinking.
To throw another option in there why not just have one site so your link building efforts are not spread across 4 properties?

Thanks cabbagetoe,
Yes having one website would make sense but the client I work for already has 4 sites so I'm not sure what is the best solution for him at this point.
2 websites are almost ready, the other 2 just the domains...
