Is Moz DA inherited from TLD for all subdomains on the TLD?

Hello James,
Yes, DA counts for the domain, even if it jast several subdomains. Some perfect examples are blogspot blogs.
Remember that Moz's metrics are just an interpretation for how likely is a page/domain to rank looking at its backlink profile ( and some other secret souce that moz dont reveal).
Don't worry only in PA/DA, TD/CF or any other metrics... Just focus in making a great site, interesting content and a perfect ride to your users.Hope I've helped. If you're not satisfied with my answer, tell me I'm glad to help, we build this community among everybody.
Best luck.

Yeap, Moz's DA does not consider subdomains.
Well, just not measure the PBN by its DA. Use other tools, such as Ahrefs, Majestic or SEMrush.
Use your own expertice analyzing the backlink profile and check all that private network blog site. -

Hi James,
You're right. In these situations, DA will not help you assess how valuable a link is.
If you want to use a metric to help you assess the quality of a link from a subdomain, PA is a much better metric to look at.
However, I always take DA/PA with a grain of salt.
Cheers,
David
