Why Moz use mz.cm for social link ?

When you click on facebook post of Moz, the URL is domain is : MZ.CM ans after 301 to moz.com/article...

It seems it is their Bitly alternative. Bitly links will shorten the URLs. So I imagine Moz has created their own version with MZ.CM. Just a hunch!

Some people shorten their links differently to make them more memorable. In the case you mention, MZ.CM is like MOZ.COM.
