If a there is page like website.com/page; I think this page will be indexed by Google even we don't link it internally from anywhere. Is this true? Will it makes any difference in-terms of "indexability" if we list this page on sitemap? I know page's visibility will increase when link from multiple internal pages. I wonder will there be any noticeable  difference while this page is listed in sitemap.

Listing it in the sitemap helps Google etc crawl the page if there are any issues with the website itself, it's sort of a fail safe. Linking in the sitemap will help it get indexed, but not necessarily faster (it depends on how often Google crawls your page). One thing you should do is "Fetch as Google" on high value pages, this will ensure they are crawled and indexed immediately.

          Hi,

Pages without internal links are referred to as “orphaned pages,” and they can be a reason for reduced indexation in Google. To determine if your page(s) are discoverable, it’s recommended to crawl your site with a tool such as Screaming Frog. and then search for specific URLs in question.

Using sitemaps has many benefits like easier navigation and better visibility by search engines.

Every site must have at least xml sitemap.

          Hope this helps.

          Thanks
