How to force indexing of Google Custom Search Engine?

Hi-

We are about to launch a new site that leverages Google's Custom Search Engine.

Currently the CSE is setup to index the existing production website.

On launch, we need to immediately:

1. Have CSE remove all of the old URLs

2. Have CSE index the new URLs

Until recently, CSE had an "on demand indexing" option. Apparently they dropped that as of February 2017. How can we coordinate a timely launch to ensure prompt indexing of the new URLs in CSE?

Hi,

There's really no difference in the CSE index and the regular Google index. 301 redirects are the best way to ensure people will find your content and to get Google to update the index ASAP. It's a time consuming process to pair up old/new URLs, but it's really the best option for UX and indexing.
