Does cached duplicate content hurts seo by Google
-
If we have duplicate content or pages cached in Google which has been indexed months back, still it hurts the original pages? Old URLs with cache can be seen now in Google when we search for the same URLs.

Hi there
If these URLs are out of date and have changed to a new URL, I would simply create a URL map and 301 redirect those old pages to their new URLs. From there, I would make sure internal links and sitemaps are up to date. That should alleviate this issue for you!
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Hi Patrick,
We actually created same content on duplicate domain before website migration to monitor how new website works. But the duplicate domain was allowed to index by mistake even after actual website launch. Then we have noindex, nofollow, noarchive, noodp later. But still I can see cached version of the duplicate content in Google. This old indexed duplicate content still hurts us?
Thanks
