Are there any pros or cons with using Google fetch and submit?

I realise Google will likely find it of its own accord in due course but I have found it may take a couple of weeks if at all.

Fetch and submit seems to speed this process up, sometimes anyway.

it will speed up indexation (usually indexed same day) but won't boost your rankings

So you mean you will see the results of efforts taken quicker but other than that no other impact?

As a frequent user of Fetch as Google, it's handy to get some pages indexed as quickly as possible into Google or to update how Google is seeing a page. I've seen absolutely no negative effects from speeding up the indexation process like this, but there is a monthly limit. (But, unless you're going HAM on it, you'll likely never reach this.)

Google will recrawl the page much quicker and is more likely to update it's index based on any changes you made to the page (or index it for the first time).

As Ria said, there is no downside.
