Having 200 internal links on a page...is always bad?

I have an e-commerce site with a very important page that have over than 200 links...I have read in various sites that is bad to have too much links in page...what do you think?

This is one of the most important pages in my site = general product page.

No It is not always bad.

Google’s instructions are simple: “Keep the links on a given page to a reasonable number.”

Question: What the heck is a reasonable number?

Answer: Nobody knows.

I have a very simple logic to deal with this problem. I agree that having too many links on the page is not a very good idea both from the search engine as well as from the user point of view in many cases but there are times when you can’t do anything about it.

I think the better idea is to see if the link that you are placing on the page are important from the user point view if they are then let it be but if you can reduce them, then you ideally should. The idea is to think about users first and then about search engines guidelines.
