Why Is Google Webmaster Tools Pulling Zero Keyword Data?
-
I just linked a Google Webmaster Tools account to Google Analytics for a client, and Search Engine Optimization reports are showing up in Google Analytics as enabled, but there is zero keyword data, landing page data, etc., in the reports themselves.
Has anyone encountered this?

Hi there
I would make sure that your Webmaster Tools and Analytics is correctly configured and that you are the owner of the Webmaster Tools account to pass the data. I would also take a look at the Access Webmasters Tools data in Google Analytics Guide from Google.
Depending on when you connected the accounts, it could simply be a lag in data transferring. Give it some time. If it doesn't populate, I would check the resources above and make sure all of your bases are covered.
Let me know if this answers your questions - I would love to help! Good luck!

Thank you Patrick! Still no luck, but I'm reviewing my options and following your suggestions! Right now, this situation is frustrating all my attempts to fix it...

Hi there
Nothing is coming through at all still? Is the Webmaster Tools data populating in it's profile?
Double check and make sure that you are connecting the right WMT account. I know this seems redundant, but I can't help that something isn't properly implemented somewhere - that's not a knock at all by the way, these things happen.
Let me know!
-
Yes, totally empty of data.
-
When you login to WMT is there data populating?
-
No, it is blank there too...Very strange.
-
Okay - 99.9% sure that is your issue - make sure your WMT is properly implemented on your site - everything should fall into place then.

I just realized that the "http://www." version of the website (which is setup in WMT is coming up as redirected to "https://www." I just added another WMT and verified ownership, and I'm wondering if this could solve the problem...so far no data, but at least I'm getting a message that WMT is in the process of gathering data for the account...

Patrick: thanks so much for your help on this. I just wanted to circle back to tell you that the problem is now resolved. The site is "https://www.", and GWT was first setup as "http://" and then just "http://www." and both of those do a 301-redirect to "https://www." So in any case, adding a third Google Webmaster Tools account for the secure version of the URL seems to have cleared up the problem and unlocked the keyword query data.
